A startup support project, TRIP, initiated by a railway company that has built Japan’s unparalleled safe, stable, and efficient transportation network.
We provide a platform that encompasses railways, transportation, cities, daily life, and more.
With such vast assets, we are seeking startup partners to create innovations with significant social impact.
What's New
"TRIP" is one of the innovation clusters selected under the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's "TIB CATAPULT," a cluster creation project aimed at addressing global-level innovation challenges. Starting in the 2024 fiscal year, the project aims to realize sustainable and smart urban transportation by building partnerships between startups and the railway and transportation sectors, with an emphasis on shared assets and innovative technologies.
Furthermore, the cluster aims to enhance its collaborative framework by inviting new railway and transportation operators to join as core members and by recruiting corporate partners (supporting partners) to actively participate in its initiatives. Through these efforts, the cluster seeks to provide startups with a wide range of support, including fundraising, business matching, promotional opportunities, and fostering innovation in areas such as climate tech, nature tech, and the circular economy.

Comment
TRIP is a cluster where railway operators actively collaborate with startups to foster co-creation and innovation.
In addition to railway infrastructure, we aim to identify and support startups that leverage a diverse range of assets, including commercial facilities, real estate, tourism, and urban development. By utilizing these resources, TRIP helps startups grow and supports those with ambitions to expand from Tokyo to the rest of Japan and the world.
